The MAX3232EEUE+T from Maxim Integrated (Analog Devices) is a general-purpose TSSOP grade of the ±15kV ESD-protected MAX3232E RS-232 transceiver - two drivers, two receivers, +3V to +5.5V, rated over the full -40°C to +85°C industrial range. A dual charge pump and 0.1µF capacitors make true RS-232 from 3.3V, with ±15kV ESD on the I/O.

The MAX3232EEUE+T is a general-purpose 16-pin TSSOP grade of Maxim's ±15kV ESD-protected MAX3232E RS-232 transceiver (MAX3222E-MAX3241E family). With two drivers and two receivers from a +3V to +5.5V supply and full -40°C to +85°C operation, it is the everyday workhorse for low-voltage serial ports that must tolerate industrial temperatures.
A dual charge pump generates RS-232 line levels from 3.3V using only 0.1µF capacitors, and all RS-232 pins are protected to ±15kV Human Body Model ESD. The receivers carry a 5kΩ input pulldown and translate RS-232 to TTL/CMOS logic.
